Non-adjustable head restraints
Yourvehicleisequippedwithfrontrowoutboardnon-adjustablehead
restraints.
WARNING:Tominimizetheriskofneckinjuryintheeventofa
crash,thedriverandpassengeroccupantsshouldnotsitin
and/oroperatethevehicle,untiltheseatbackisplacedinitsproper
position.Thedrivershouldneveradjusttheseatbackwhilethevehicle
isinmotion.
Thenon-adjustableheadrestraints
consistofatrimmedfoamcovering
overtheupperstructureofthe
seatback.
Properlyadjusttheseatbacktoanuprightdriving/ridingposition,sothat
theheadrestraintispositionedascloseaspossibletothebackofyour
head.
Adjusting the front manual seat (if equipped)
WARNING:Neveradjustthedriver’sseatorseatbackwhenthe
vehicleismoving.Theseatcouldslidetoofarleavingyouunable
tooperatevitalcontrolsjustwhenyouneedthem.
WARNING:Alwaysdriveandridewithyourseatbackupright
andthelapbeltsnugandlowacrossthehips.Sittingina
reclinedpositionwhilethevehicleismovingisdangerousbecauseyou
cannotgetthefullprotectionfromseatbelts.Duringsuddenbraking
oracollision,youcanslideunderthelapbeltandsufferserious
internalinjuries.Formaximumprotection,sitwellbackandupright.
Thelapportionoftheseatbeltworntoohighisdangerous.Ina
collision,thiswouldconcentratetheimpactforcedirectlyonthe
abdominalarea,causingseriousinjury.Wearthelapportionofthebelt
snuglyandaslowaspossible.
