Insertthesquareendofthe
jackhandleintotherearaccess
holelocatedjustabovetherear
bumperandbelowthetailgate.
Forwardmotionwillstopand
resistancetoturningwillbefelt
whenproperlyengaged.
4.
Turnthehandle
counterclockwiseuntiltireis
loweredtothegroundandthe
cableisslightlyslack.
5.
Removetheretainerfromthe
sparetire.
Tire change procedure
WARNING:Whenoneofthefrontwheelsisofftheground,the
transmissionalonewillnotpreventthevehiclefrommovingor
slippingoffthejack,evenifthevehicleisinP(Park)(automatic
transmission)orR(Reverse)(manualtransmission).
WARNING:Tohelppreventthevehiclefrommovingwhenyou
changeatire,besuretheparkingbrakeisset,thenblock(in
bothdirections)thewheelthatisdiagonallyopposite(othersideand
endofthevehicle)tothetirebeingchanged.
WARNING:Ifthevehicleslipsoffthejack,youorsomeoneelse
couldbeseriouslyinjured.
WARNING:Donotattempttochangeatireonthesideofthe
vehicleclosetomovingtraffic.Pullfarenoughofftheroadto
avoidthedangerofbeinghitwhenoperatingthejackorchangingthe
wheel.
