Onlooselypackedsand,suchasonbeachesor
sanddunes,thetireswilltendtosinkintothesand.
Thisaffectssteering,  accelerating, andbraking.
Driveatareducedspeedandavoidsharpturnsor
abruptmaneuvers.
{WARNING:
Gettingoutonthedownhill(low)sideofavehicle
stoppedacrossanincline  isdangerous. Ifthe
vehiclerollsover,youcouldbecrushedorkilled.
Alwaysgetoutontheuphill(high)sideofthe
vehicleandstaywellclearoftherollover    path.
Hardpackedsnowandiceoffertheworsttiretraction.
Onthesesurfaces,  itisveryeasytolosecontrol.   On
wetice,forexample,  thetraction issopoorthatyouwill
havedifficulty accelerating. And,ifthevehicledoesget
moving,poorsteering  anddifficult brakingcancauseit
toslideoutofcontrol.
Ifthevehiclestallswhencrossing   anincline, besure
you,andanypassengers,  getoutontheuphillside,
evenifthedoorthereishardertoopen.Ifyougetout
onthedownhill  sideandthevehiclestartstorollover,
youwillberightinitspath.
{WARNING:
Drivingonfrozenlakes,ponds,orriverscanbe
dangerous. Underwater springs,currents under
theice,orsuddenthawscanweakentheice.Your
vehiclecouldfallthroughtheiceandyouandyour
passengers coulddrown.Driveyourvehicleon
safesurfaces only.
Ifyouhavetowalkdowntheslope,stayoutofthepath
thevehiclewilltakeifitdoesrollover.
DrivinginMud,Sand,Snow,orIce
Whenyoudriveinmud,snow,orsand,thewheels
donotgetgoodtraction.   Acceleration isnotas
quick,turningismoredifficult,   andbrakingdistances
arelonger.
Itisbesttousealowgearwheninmudthe
deeperthemud,thelowerthegear.Inreallydeepmud,
keepthevehiclemovingsoitdoesnotgetstuck.
