If the liftgate flipper glass is open, connection to the rear
wind ow wiper is interru pted preventing activation of the
rear wiper blad e. When the liftgate flipper glass is closed ,
the rear wiper switch or the ignition switch need s to be
turned OFF and ON to restart the rear wiper.
button will illuminate to ind icate the rear wind ow de-
froster is ON. The defroster autom atically turns off after
abou t 10 minu tes of operation.

Adding Wash er Fluid
To avoid damagin g the electrical conductors of the
rear window defroster, do not use scrap ers, sharp
instru ments, or abrasive window clean ers on the
interior surface of the window.
The fluid reservoir for the wind shield washers and the
rear wind ow washer is shared . It is located in the front of
the engine compartm ent on the passenger side and
shou ld be checked for fluid level at regu lar intervals. Fill
the reservoir with wind shield washer solvent (not rad ia-
tor antifreeze) and operate the system for a few second s
to flush out the resid ual water.
Labels can be peeled off after soak ing with warm
water.
Rear Window Defroster — If Equipped
Press this button (located on the Climate Control
panel) to turn on the rear wind ow defroster and
the heated side mirrors (if equ ipped). An LED in the
