Climatized ULSD Diesel Fuel is a blend of Number 2
ULSD and Number 1 ULSD Diesel Fuels which re-
duces the tem peratu re at which wax crystals form in
fuel.
NEVER pour fuel or oth er flam mable liq uid into the
air inlet opening in an attem pt to start the veh icle.
This could resu lt in a flash fire causin g seriou s
person al injury.

NOTE: This engine requ ires the use of “Ultra Low
Sulfu r Diesel Fuel.” Use of incorrect fuel could resu lt in
exhau st system damage. Refer to “Fuel Requ irem ents” in
this section for further details on fuel recom mend ations.
1. The gear selector must be in the “N” (Neutral) or “P”
(Park) position before you can start the engine.
Battery Blan ket Usage
A battery loses 60% of its cranking power as the battery
tem peratu re decreases to 0°F (-18°C). For the sam e de-
crease in tem peratu re, the engine requ ires twice as much
power to crank at the sam e RPM. The use of 120 VAC
powered battery blankets will greatly increase starting
