Overload  ing  of you r tires  is dangerou  s.  Overload ing
can  cause   tire  failu re,  affect   veh icle  handlin  g, and
increase   you r  stop ping    distan ce.  Use   tires   of  the
recom mended   load  capacity   for  you r veh icle. Never
overload   them.
Im prop erly   in flated   tires   are   dan gerou s  an d   can
cau se accid en ts.
Un der  in flation  in creases  tire  flexin  g an d can  resu lt
in  tire  failu re.
Over   in flation   red uces   a  tire’s   ab ility  to   cush ion
sh ock . Objects   on  th e road  an d chuckholes    can  cau se
dam age  th at resu lt  in  tire  failu re.
TIRES — GENERAL INFORMATION

Tire Pressure
You cou ld  lose  con trol  of you r  veh icle.
Prop er tire  inflation  pressu re  is essential  to  the  safe and
satisfactory   operation    of  you r  vehicle.   Three  prim ary
areas  are affected  by  improp er  tire pressu  re:
•  Over    in flated   or   under   in flated    tires   can   affect
veh icle  han dlin g  an d  can  fail   su dden ly,  resu ltin g  in
loss  of  veh icle con trol.
Un eq ual tire pressu  res  from on e sid e of th e veh icle to
th e oth er  can cau se  th e veh icle  to drift   to  th e righ t or
left.
Alw ays  drive   with  each   tire  in flated   to  th e recom -
men ded  cold  tire  in flation   pressu  re.
