matching full size spare tire is swapped with a low
pressu re road tire, the next ignition key cycle will still
show the “Tire Pressu re Monitoring Telltale Light” to be
ON, a chim e to sou nd , a Low Pressu re message to appear
in the EVIC, and the grap hic display will still show the
low tire pressu re valu e flashing. Driving the vehicle for
up to 10 minu tes above 15 mph (24 km/ h) will turn OFF
the “Tire Pressu re Monitoring Telltale Light” as long as
none of road tires are below the low pressu re warning
threshold . The EVIC will also display a “Spare Low
Pressu re” text message, and the grap hic display will
show a tire pressu re valu e in place of the flashing low tire
pressu re valu e.

second s and then rem ain on solid . In addition, the EVIC
will display a ЉCHECK TPM SYSTEMЉ message for 3
second s and then display dashes (- -) in place of the 5
pressu re valu e. For each subsequ ent ignition key cycle, a
chim e will sou nd , the “Tire Pressu re Monitoring Telltale
Light” will flash on and off for 75 second s and then
rem ain on solid , and the EVIC will display a ЉCHECK
TPM SYSTEMЉ message for 3 second s and then display
dashes (- -) in place of the pressu re valu e. Once you
rep air or rep lace the original road tire, and reinstall it on
the vehicle in place of the spare tire, the TPMS will
update autom atically.
NOTE: If you r vehicle is not equ ipped with a matching
full size spare wheel and tire assem bly, it does not have a
tire pressu re monitoring sensor in the spare tire. The
TPMS will not be able to monitor the tire pressu re. If you
install the spare tire in place of a road tire that has a
pressu re below the low-pressu re warning limit, upon the
