{WARNING:
Theenginecoolantheatercanprovideeasierstarting
andbetterfueleconomyduringenginewarmupincold
weatherconditions atorbelow18°C(0°F).Vehicles
withanenginecoolantheatershouldbepluggedinat
leastfourhoursbeforestarting.   Somemodelshavean
internal thermostat inthecordwhichwillprevent
enginecoolantheateroperation  attemperatures
above18°C(0°F).
Plugging thecordintoanungrounded  outletcould
causeanelectrical  shock.Also,thewrongkindof
extension cordcouldoverheatandcauseafire.
Youcouldbeseriously  injured. Plugthecordinto
aproperly groundedthree-prong 110-voltAC
outlet.Ifthecordwillnotreach,useaheavy-duty
three-prong extension cordratedforatleast
ToUsetheEngineCoolantHeater

amps.

Turnofftheengine.
Openthehoodandunwraptheelectrical    cord.

Beforestarting theengine,besuretounplugand
storethecordasitwasbeforetokeepitawayfrom
movingengineparts.Ifyoudonot,itcouldbe
damaged.
Forthe3.6LV6engine,thecordislocatedinthe
frontoftheenginecompartment,   onthepassenger
sideofthevehicle.
Forthe4.6LV8engine,thecordislocatedinthe
enginecompartment onthedriversideofthe
vehicleneartheinnerfenderandabovethestrut.
Thelengthoftimetheheatershouldremainpluggedin
dependsonseveralfactors.  Askadealer/retailer  inthe
areawhereyouwillbeparkingthevehicleforthebest
adviceonthis.

Youmustremovetheplasticcaptoaccess

Plugitintoanormal,   grounded110-voltACoutlet.
