Anelectric enginecoolingfanunderthehoodcan
startupevenwhentheengineisnotrunningand
cancauseinjury.Keephands,clothing,   andtools
awayfromanyunderhood  electric fan.
Youcanbeburnedifyouspillcoolantonhot
engineparts.Coolantcontainsethylene   glycol
anditwillburniftheenginepartsarehotenough.
Donotspillcoolantonahotengine.
Ifnocoolantisvisibleinthesurgetank,addcoolantas
follows:
1.
Removethecoolantsurgetankpressure   capwhen
thecoolingsystem,including  thecoolantsurge
tankpressure capandupperradiator  hose,
isnolongerhot.Turnthepressurecapslowly
counterclockwise aboutone-quarter ofaturn.
Ifyouhearahiss,waitforthattostop.Ahiss
meansthereisstillsomepressure   left.
{WARNING:
Steamandscalding  liquidsfromahotcooling
systemcanblowoutandburnyoubadly.Theyare
underpressure, andifyouturnthecoolantsurge
tankpressurecap—evenalittle—theycancome
outathighspeed.Neverturnthecapwhenthe
coolingsystem,including  thecoolantsurgetank
pressurecap,ishot.Waitforthecoolingsystem
andcoolantsurgetankpressure   captocoolifyou
everhavetoturnthepressure   cap.
