PullingATrailer
Herearesomeimportant  points:

Donottowatrailer   atallduringthefirst500miles
(800km)thenewvehicleisdriven.Theengine,
axleorotherpartscouldbedamaged.
Thefollowing information hasmanytime-tested,
important trailering tipsandsafetyrules.Manyof
theseareimportant  foryoursafetyandthatofyour
passengers. Sopleasereadthissectioncarefully   before
pullingatrailer.

Then,duringthefirst500miles(800km)thata
traileristowed,donotdriveover50mph(80km/h)
anddonotmakestartsatfullthrottle.    Thishelps
theengineandotherpartsofthevehiclewearinat
theheavierloads.
Load-pulling components suchastheengine,
transmission, rearaxle,wheelassemblies  andtiresare
forcedtoworkharderagainstthedragoftheadded
weight.Theengineisrequired   tooperateatrelatively
higherspeedsandundergreaterloads,generating
extraheat.Thetraileralsoaddsconsiderably    towind
resistance, increasing thepullingrequirements.

transmission toalowergearifthetransmission
shiftstoooftenunderheavyloadsand/orhilly
conditions.
Obeyspeedlimitrestrictions  whentowingatrailer.
Donotdrivefasterthanthemaximumposted
speedfortrailers,  ornomorethan55mph
(90
km/h),tosavewearonthevehicle's    parts.
IfthevehiclehastheSideBlindZoneAlert(SBZA)
systemanditdoesn't  seemtobeworkingproperly
whilepullingatrailer,turnthesystemoff.SeeSide
