Adaptive CruiseControlmaylosetrackofthe
vehicleaheadandaccelerate  uptoyourset
speedwhileentering  oronhighwayexitramps.
Youcouldbestartled  bythisacceleration  and
evenlosecontrolofthevehicle.   Disengage
Adaptive CruiseControlbeforeentering  a
highwayexitramp.DonotuseAdaptive    Cruise
Controlwhileentering  oronexitramps.
HowwellAdaptive  CruiseControlworksonhillsand
whileatrailerisbeingtoweddependsonyourvehicle
speed,vehicleload,trafficconditions,   andthe
steepness ofthehills.Itmightnotdetectavehiclein
yourlanewhiledrivingonhills.Whilegoingupsteep
hills,youmightwanttousetheaccelerator    pedalto
maintainyourvehiclespeed.Whilegoingdownhill    and
towingatrailer,youmightwanttobraketokeepyour
vehiclespeeddown.Applying  thebrakedisengages  the
system.YoumaychoosenottouseAdaptive    Cruise
Controlonsteephillswhentowingatrailer.
OtherVehicleLaneChanges
DisengagingAdaptiveCruiseControl
ApplythebrakepedalormovetheAdaptive    Cruise
Controlswitchtooff,todisengage   thesystem.Adaptive
CruiseControlinformation  doesnotappearontheHUD
whilethesystemisnotengaged.
Ifanothervehicleentersthesamelaneasyou,
Adaptive CruiseControlwillnotdetectthevehicleuntil
itiscompletely  inthelane.Bereadytotakeactionand
applythebrakesyourself.
