{WARNING:
Toincrease speedtopassavehicle,   usethe
accelerator pedal.Whileyouaredoingthis,thesystem
willnotautomatically  applythebrakes.APEDAL
APPLIEDACCOVERRIDEmessagewillappearonthe
HUD.SeeHead-UpDisplay(HUD)   on page 4‑38 for
additional information. Onceyoupassthevehicleand
removeyourfootfromtheaccelerator   pedal,Adaptive
CruiseControlreturnstonormaloperation   andthe
brakescanbeapplied,  ifneeded.
DuetoAdaptive  CruiseControllimitations in
curves,itmayrespondtoavehicleinanother
lane,ormaynothavetimetoreacttoavehiclein
yourlane.Youcouldcrashintoavehicleaheadof
you,orlosecontrolofyourvehicle.    Giveextra
attention incurvesandbereadytousethebrakes
ifnecessary.Selectanappropriate   speedwhile
drivingincurves.

Adaptive CruiseControlmightoperatedifferently  ina
sharpcurve.Itmightreduceyourspeedifthecurveis
toosharp.
Ifyourestyourfootontheaccelerator    pedal,the
systemwillnotautomatically  applythebrakes.
Youcouldcrashintoavehicleaheadofyou.
Donotrestyourfootontheaccelerator    pedal
whenusingAdaptive  CruiseControl.
