Parkonafairlysteephill,withthevehiclefacing
downhill. Keepingyourfootontheregularbrake,setthe
parkingbrake.

Tochecktheparkingbrake'sholdingability:    With
theenginerunningandthetransmission   in
N(Neutral), slowlyremovefootpressure  fromthe
regularbrakepedal.Dothisuntilthevehicleisheld
bytheparkingbrakeonly.
{WARNING:
Whenyouaredoingthischeck,thevehiclecould
begintomove.Youorotherscouldbeinjuredand
property couldbedamaged. Makesurethereis
roominfrontofthevehicleincaseitbeginsto
roll.Bereadytoapplytheregularbrakeatonce
shouldthevehiclebegintomove.

TochecktheP(Park)mechanism's   holdingability:
Withtheenginerunning,  shifttoP(Park).Then
releasetheparkingbrakefollowed   bytheregular
brake.
Contactyourdealer/retailer  ifserviceisrequired.
