Safetybeltsworkforeveryone,   including pregnant
women.Likealloccupants,  theyaremorelikelytobe
seriously injurediftheydonotwearsafetybelts.

Buckle,position, andreleasethesafetybeltas
described previously inthissection. Makesurethat
theshoulder beltcrossestheshoulder.
Toremoveandstorethecomfortguide,squeezethe
beltedgestogether  sothatyoucantakethemoutofthe
guide.Pulltheguideupwardtoexposeitsstorageclip,
andthenslidetheguideontotheclip.Turntheguide
andclipinwardandslidetheminbetweentheseatback
andtheinterior  body,leavingonlytheloopoftheelastic
cordexposed.
Apregnant womanshouldwearalap-shoulder   belt,and
thelapportionshouldbewornaslowaspossible,
belowtherounding,  throughout thepregnancy.
Thebestwaytoprotectthefetusistoprotectthe
mother.Whenasafetybeltiswornproperly,itismore
likelythatthefetuswillnotbehurtinacrash.For
pregnant women,asforanyone,thekeytomaking
safetybeltseffective  iswearingthemproperly.
