HowtoCheckPowerSteeringFluid
Tocheckthepowersteering   fluid,dothefollowing:
SeeEngineCompartment
Overview on page 6‑13
forreservoir location.
1. Turntheignition  offandlettheengine
compartment cooldown.

Wipethecapandthetopofthereservoir     clean.
Unscrewthecapandwipethedipstick    witha
cleanrag.

Replacethecapandcompletely   tightenit.
Removethecapagainandlookatthefluidlevel
onthedipstick.
ThelevelshouldbewithintheHOTmark.Ifnecessary,
addonlyenoughfluidtobringthelevelwithinthemark.
WhentoCheckPowerSteeringFluid
WhattoUse
Itisnotnecessary  toregularly checkpowersteering
fluidunlessyoususpectthereisaleakinthesystemor
youhearanunusualnoise.Afluidlossinthissystem
couldindicate aproblem.Havethesysteminspected
andrepaired.
Todetermine whatkindoffluidtouse,see
Recommended FluidsandLubricants on page  7‑9.
Alwaysusetheproperfluid.
